Restoration for World Wildlife Day 2020
At the edge of Hobart lies truganini Reserve which makes for a fantastic two-hour walking trail through 130 hectares of protected native bushland. In celebration of World Wildlife Day 2020, our team worked with Conservation Volunteers to build and re-gravel areas of the trails to help enhance the environmental and biodiversity values of the conservation area.
The reserve commemorates the Tasmanian Aboriginal people and their descendants with the trails providing recreational access for the community to the site of the truganini Memorial.
Our various projects with Conservation Volunteers Australia focus on reconnecting people with nature and repairing and protecting habitats and species. Truganini Reserve is home to several threatened flora and fauna species.
